If you are seeking to have your proposed CME activity accredited by an ACCME accredited provider, the National Association for Continuing Education (NACE) will gladly help you achieve that goal. The process, while complex, does not have to be overwhelming. We will provide you with the guidance and the tools you will need to put on a succesful accredited activity.
NACE can also assist your organization with development of needs assessments, faculty selection, event planning, audience generation, online registration, evaluation and outcome assessment, and certificate generation through our proprietary learning management system. We plan and manage dozens of CME activities each year and we have an experienced staff that is well aware of how to organize live conference activities ranging in size from dinner meetings to large activities and enduring materials.
NACE is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and is availabe to work with your organization to provide continuing medical education for physicians. When an ACCME accredited provider plans and presents one or more activities with a non-ACCME accredited provider they are engaging in "joint sponsorship." NACE is also accredited by the American Psychological Association and Association of Social Work Boards and can co-sponsor continuing education activities for psychologists, social workers, and counselors. See a full list of our accreditations.
The first step in seeking accreditation through joint sponsorship is to complete a Joint Sponsorship Application. NACE accepts applications from non-accredited providers. A non-refundable application fee of $100 is required and should be sent to NACE with the completed application. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have about the application process. If NACE approves your application, an accreditation fee will be determined along with other any other costs associated with joint sponsorship. Fees can vary depending on the size and scope of your planned activity and the services that you would want NACE to provide. An account executive will be assigned to your organization to help you navigate through the planning and implementation of your activity so that we are in compliance with ACCME policies.
Please feel free to call us at (954) 723-0057 if you have any questions about our joint sponsorship program. Requests for joint sponsorship should be submitted to Michelle Frisch (email@example.com) and require completion of the Joint Sponsor Application Form at least three months in advance of the activity date.
Below is a description of some of the pre and post-activity procedures that NACE will undertake.
Failure of a joint sponsored organization to meet the ACCME requirements and NACE policies may result in loss of certification for the CME activity. NACE will work closely with your organization to have a successful activity.
